Middlesex has it's own solid waste collection program. Curbside pickup is every Monday morning. The monthly fee is $11.75 for residential pickup and $19.50 for business pickup. Citizens are responsible for supplying their own trash container.
Containers shall be made of non-rusting materials. Containers placed into service after February 12, 2007 shall be provided with handles or bails with a tight fitting cover made of the same materials as the container. Containers shall be watertight and be of a size that can be conveniently handled by by the collectors and shall be no more than 35 gallons in capacity. All household garbage must be tied in bags, placed inside the container(s) and placed curbside.
Town personnel will pickup leaves and yard waste on thursdays, if it is raked or brought curbside. All limbs must be cut in lengths no longer than 4'.
Special bulk collections of white goods, old furniture, and bulk items may be made by special request, but they must be placed curbside. These collections are subject to the availability of equipment and personnel. Construction or demolition debris is not allowed. We pick up only objects and materials that are permitted in the Nash County landfill.
