The Middlesex property tax rate is .55 cents per $100 of valuation on real and personal property located inside the city limits of Middlesex. Personal property must be listed with the Nash County tax office by January 31st of each year to avoid a late listing penalty. Middlesex bills real and personal property taxes in late July-early August based on information taxpayers have filed with Nash County. If you reside inside the city limits, you will receive tax bills from both the town and Nash County.
Town taxes are due September 1st of each year and interest is added on January 6th of the following year.
Town taxes may be paid by cash, check, or money order at the Town Hall, 10232 S. Nash Street, or mailed to PO Box 69, Middlesex, NC 27557. If you have questions, please call Town Hall at (252) 235-5761.
