Solid Waste Collections

Middlesex has it's own solid waste collection program.  Curbside pickup is every Monday morning.  The monthly fee is $13.75 for residential pickup and $21.50 for business pickup.  Garbage carts and recycle carts are provided by the Town.

Containers

The Town provides all residences with one 96 gallon green trash cart and one 96 gallon blue recycle cart. Business customers receive two trash carts and an unlimited number of recycle carts, as needed. Citizens are responsible for their carts, and are encouraged to keep them neat and clean. All household garbage must be tied in bags, placed inside the container(s) and placed curbside on the scheduled pick-up day.

Special Waste

Town personnel will pickup leaves and yard waste on Tuesdays, if it is raked or brought curbside.  All limbs must be cut in lengths no longer than 4'.

Bulk items such as white goods and furniture are to be placed curbside with your regular trash on Mondays.

Large bulk items or several bulk items are considered special bulk pickup. A special request is required and can be made through the Town Hall.  These collections are subject to the availability of equipment and personnel and additional costs may be involved. Construction or demolition debris is not allowed.   We pick up only objects and materials that are permitted in the Nash County landfill.
