VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

In the coming months, the Town of Middlesex will begin work on our Wellness Park. The park is located on South Nash Street on the right just before you reach the town cemetery.

The Beautification Committee has already planted some trees at the rear of the lot. The Utility Department has already torn up the old walking track. We have also placed a gazebo on site which was donated by Eaton Corporation.

As part of the project, we will be adding a picnic shelter with restrooms, a parking lot, a flag memorial at the entrance, constructing a new walking track, and adding more landscaping. In the future, and as funds allow, we will be adding playground equipment and possibly a small amphitheater.

The Wellness Park is centered toward giving our citizens, old and young alike, an opportunity and place to get fit and lead a healthy lifestyle. We are excited about this park, especially the new design for the walking track, which will be much nicer and larger than the old track.

If you are a handyman, or handywoman, with building, wiring or plumbing, paving or grading, or landscaping knowledge, we would appreciate all assistance. We feel Middlesex and the surrounding area has many citizens very talented in all the areas and the town could certainly use your help. If you are a contractor and own your own tools/equipment, we would welcome any help you could offer to better our community and improve the health of our citizens.
